Travel | Beach Trips

Hello Lovelies

todays post is about my few recent trips to the beach. Now here in England it is very rare to get weather warm enough to go to the beach but these past couple of weeks the weather has been amazing. At the moment I don't have any plans to go abroad so I will just have to make do with the beaches here.

My first trip was about 3 weeks ago down to Broadstairs. A small group of my friends went down for the day when the weather was around 28 degrees so no need for us to away but we definitely needed sun cream! All in all it was a great day, there were few attempts to go in the sea and get everyone in which finally done around 4pm that day so it was getting a bit chilly by that point! Me and Chloe also managed to get some great photos from around the rock pools at that point, so thank you Chloe for these amazing photos!

The second trip was last week when myself and my mum took my nan down to Whistable for the day so we could celebrate her birthday. After parking up and walking around the shops for a bit we made our way down to the sea front. There is a little area where the beach huts are all used for small business. one we particularly enjoyed was Art to Eat which is a home made fudge company. We decided to but some fudge and I must say it was amazing.

The fudge before it got squashed in my mums bag! It still tasted amazing though!

We then carried on down the beach and decided that it was time to take a trip to Weatherspoons for lunch. Now me and my mum are both Coeliac's, we have both been diagnosed with Coeliac Disease for over 9 years now and I have to say that Weatherspoons has one of the best menus for people who suffer from this or any other types of gluten intolerance. Then the weather decided to perk up so it was back to the beach to sit there and enjoy the sun and have another photoshoot so thank you to my mum for getting these photos of me.

The time came to go home around 5pm so we picked up a drink before heading back and which point I managed to get these photos of the beach.

So guys if the weathers nice and you have nothing to do be sure to take a trip down to the beach because no matter who you're with you'll have fun and even you aren't going away this year at least you've gone to a beach!

Travel | Paris

Hello lovelies

Last week I was very lucky to get to visit the beautiful city of Paris on a university trip. After getting off the Eurostar we had some trouble trying to find the metro, but once we did it was off to complete our itinerary. Now being that there was 13 of us in our group it was rather difficult to complete all five places in a day, however we did manage to get to four and we even managed to fit a little shopping in at the Champs Elysees.

One of the places we visited was the Palais Galliera which was absolutely beautiful. I would love to go back and spend more time there. After a lunch break we made our way over to the Pyramids Of The Louvre and then onwards to the Champs Elysees. I was lucky to be able to purchase another Pandora Charm for my bracelet of the Eiffel Tower and pick up a lipstick from the MAC Magic Of The Night collection. Finally it was then off to the Eiffel Tower to get some photos and videos; we were very lucky to be able to see it during dusk and then when it sparkled for the first time that night.

On our way to lunch

Travel | Epcot

Hello Lovelies

Today was the last day at Disney World and we managed to complete Epcot in half a day. We booked our fast passes for the evening again and spent the morning somewhere else shopping (more on that in a future post).

When we arrived we had sadly missed our first fastpass which was Mission Space, however this gave us time to sort out putting our bags into lockers and making our way over to our next fastpass which was Test Track.

Test Track is a great ride for families because of being able to create your own car before the ride and then during the ride your cars are tested on different terrains (during which my family got very competitive!). At the end there is lots of interactive things to look at and play with. We then had a fastpass later on for Spaceship Earth. We found you do not need one for this ride as it is constantly loading people so the wait time on average was approx. 10-15 minutes.

In-between these two fast passes we wandered around the countries stopping off in Germany, Italy, Japan and England. In Germany we stopping in the Werthers sweet shop, in Italy we stopped in the pizza restaurant to see what it was like (unfortunately we didn't have to time have something to eat there), in England we had a look around the shops and finally in Japan where we stopped to complete the Pick a Pearl experience.

The experience costs $17 for one oyster. You pay first, go and pick your oyster and they create a big show whilst opening your oyster. I was very lucky to get an oyster that held two blue/grey pearls which were the same size. One I have created a ring with and the other one is yet to be created into anything.

After this we made our way to Spaceship Earth to use our fast pass. This ride is a slow and factual ride which is great if you aren't a fan of roller coasters. Finally, we made our way over to the lake to watch the fireworks. The fireworks were amazing but unfortunately I couldn't get any good photos of them due to where we were standing.

This ends our few days in the Disney Parks, however we still had a lot more to look forward to such as the waterparks (Blizzard Beach and Aquatica).

Until next time

Travel | Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios

Hello Lovelies

Today's post is all about Animals and Hollywood. Yes, you heard me right, because this day we visited Disney's Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. To make sure we could get both parks done in one day we decided to go to Animal Kingdom in the morning and Hollywood Studios in the afternoon.

Starting off our day we made our way from the car park, by bus, to Animal Kingdom. After going through bag check and front gates we made our way to Kilimanjaro Safaris, which was only a 10 minute wait. I would advise that if you are going to do this ride to go first thing in the morning because as the day goes on there are less animals out on the Safari. Also another tip is to sit on the left hand side of the vehicle because that is where most of the animals are.

We then proceeded to queue up for Expedition Everest which is a must do at Animal Kingdom! After we headed to the food court for lunch. This was a great experience, being able to try different food. For those of you who are gluten free there is food truck just before the bridge into Africa that specialises in gluten free food, which according to my mum tasted great! We then headed to see The Lion King show which again if you have time is something I would really recommend, the atmosphere is great, and so are the actors.

Whilst heading over to Kali River Rapids we happened to meet SeeYaReelSoon. Joe and Ashley are a couple who visit Disney World multiple times each year and blog every trip. I love watching their videos and was so excited to meet them! They are such lovely people and we had a lovely chat about living in the UK and tips for Disney World, so if you get a chance definitely go and check there channel on YouTube out here!

When going on Kali River Rapids be warned... You will get VERY wet! However it is a great ride. The last rides of the day here at Animal Kingdom were DINOSAUR and Primeval Whirl. Then it was time to head back to Hollywood Studios to use our fast passes and get on a few other rides we wanted to try.

Our first stop was the Indiana Jones stunt spectacular which was great fun to watch. They give the audience a chance to get involved (so for all you want to embarrass your family this is your chance) and show you how a lot of the stunts are created in a real film. After it was on to Star Tourz, which was a must for my dad who is an avid Star Wars fan. It was a really good ride which took you into the world of Star Wars.

After grabbing a quick Starbucks we made our way to Tower of Terror which is one of my favourite rides. The ride is one where you can hear people screaming before you've even got to the queue but this just makes it even better because of the suspense. The last ride of the day and definitely my favourite, Rock N Rollercoaster! This ride is a high speed loop the loop ride in the dark and the whole time your listening to Aerosmith's records.

After a long day it was time to head back to the apartment and get some rest, ready for another day at another theme park!

Until next time

Travel | Disney World Day 1!

Hello my lovelies

It has been a while since my last post, but I have so much to update you on! The past few weeks I have been in Florida exploring all of the theme parks and water parks they have to offer.
Being that it was my first time to Florida, I was rather excited to see all of the parks especially the Disney ones (I'm a huge Disney fan!). Today's post is all about the first day at Disney's Magic Kingdom, in hope that it may help some of you when you go to Disney.

Lets start off with the My Disney Experience app. Through this app you are able to book fast passes, check wait time for rides, find places to eat and see your location in the park. The app enables you to book these 30 days prior to your trip, however we booked our fast passes the night before our day in the Magic Kingdom. We were very lucky to get all of the fast passes we wanted and really helped us achieve all we wanted to do in the park.

Our fist day was the longest day of our holiday (we got there at 10am and didn't leave until midnight),  but I have a tip that ill mention later on to split the day up. We started off by walking down Main Street U.S.A. to the castle and I was very surprised by how empty the park was. Being a Thursday in the middle of summer I thought it would be heaving with people, however we managed to get lots of photos in front of the castle with barely anyone in them.

We then made our way to the first ride of the day, this was the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. We didn't have a fast pass for this and therefore waited in the standby queue for 65mins, but the queue itself is very interactive which is great for children (and big kids like me and my family). We then went on It's A Small World and Mad Tea Party Tea Cups. After this it was time for lunch and well earned break.
My tip here is to go out of the park and hop on a bus to the Boardwalk resort. When there you can chose from restaurants at the Boardwalk, The Beach Club and The Yacht Club. We chose the Big River Grille & Brewing Works. As a family we agreed that this was the best meal we had out of all of the parks throughout the holiday.

After lunch it was back to the park to explore some more rides and try Disney's well known ice cream. Whilst eating ice cream it decided to pour down with rain, when it reduced we made our way back over to Tomorrowland and queued up for Tomorrowland Speedway and Buzz Lightyear. Finally it was time to use our fast passes on Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. I loved these rides, they were fantastic!

The last two things to do at the end of the day were to watch Wishes and the Electrical Light Parade. Both were magical to watch and bought a tear to my eye.

As a girl who grew up loving Disney this was my favourite park of the holiday and bought back many childhood memories!

Until next time!
