Fashion | Where have I been & London

Hello lovelies

Its been a while since I've posted on here! Its been rather hectic the last few months with it being last term of uni and work.

From the end of Easter up until last week it was my last term at uni which means I have now completed my first year there, how exciting?! It was a rather stressful term with a hard brief entitled "When is a trouser not a trouser?". Now that I am on summer break I plan on posting on here at least once a week if not more. I have a lot of exciting things coming up and I cant wait to share them with you, there are already two blog posts ready and waiting for next week.

To keep this post a little interesting and fashion related I thought I would tell you about a recent trip up to London that I had with a friend. The main reason we went was to check out a couple of sample sales one which was designer underwear, this was the most successful as we managed to get over 10 pieces of underwear from brands such as Stella McCartney and Heidi Klum for just £23 (when researching later one of the pieces we had bought retailed for £105 and we paid £6, bargain!).

The second sample sale was Quay Australia and Oh My Love. The deal for Oh My Love was 4 items for £20, which again was a bargain considering each piece usually retails between £40-50. I ended up purchasing 3 playsuits and dress for going out in the evening. I also purchased a pair of Quay Australia sunglasses for £10 in the style The Love Cats.

Fashion | Hand In Day

Hello lovelies

So yesterday was my hand in day for uni and today was my presentation for my university project this term. Having these days come around so quickly meant that I wasn't able to get any blog post shoots completed this week however during the beginning of last week myself and Chloe managed to get this look quickly shot while we were at university for the day.

As you can see I love these black ankle booties especially when paired with a leather jacket. This week I decided to wear them with a black mini dress that can be worn as a day dress or styled up with a pair of black stiletto heels for the evening time.

As I have another deadline in due in two weeks I'm going to be rather busy however I promise to put at least one blog post up before then!

Fashion | Spring Has Arrived

Hello Lovelies

As we all know here in England it's meant to be Spring and these past few weeks we haven't seen any sign of it. However this week Spring has start to arrive with the slightly warmer weather I can now go out without a heavy coat and just go with either a thick jumper or a lightweight jacket. It also means that the days are sunnier (yay!) and also that it doesn't get dark as quick at it was a month ago. I have to be honest here and say Spring is one of my favourite times of the year with the weather getting warmer and it being brighter it means that Summer will soon be on the way!

Today's outfit is a red cable knit jumper with a pair of ripped skinny jeans. Paired with my Timberland style boots and Versace Jeans bag it is definitely a comfy outfit but one that I can go to university in and be warm for the day.

Fashion | Monochrome

Hello lovelies

White and black clothes seem to be a reaccuring theme in my wardrobe currently. As well as this, jeans are a must have in this winter weather! With that in mind I decided that today I would pair my white skinny jeans with a white blouse. To give the outfit a bit of edge I added my favourite leather jacket and black ankle booties. Hopefully the weather will get better soon so I can start wearing my summer clothes I miss dearly!

Beauty | SS15 Beauty must haves Featuring Magnitone!

Hello lovelies

Todays post is about my Spring/Summer beauty must haves. I don't know about you, but in the summer my skin is a lot harder to look after because it is oily and acne prone. So I thought I would let you know my skincare and a few makeup must have for the summer that I use and few that are definitely on my wish list!

So to start of with is skin care, its all about having a good skincare routine otherwise you're just going to make your skin worse than it is.

I love the Garnier Micellar Water to remove the makeup and dirt on my face and it is perfect for getting rid of waterproof mascara and eyeliner. The next thing I love to use is a charcoal face mask once a week to really get rid of any dirt thats on my skin. For a moisturiser I use the 24 hour moisturising cream from Lidl, which all though its cheap it keeps my face hydrated without leaving it oily and breaking me out. For those of you who have acne prone skin I would highly recommend Silver Serum. Although it is a little more on the expensive side I can put a little bit on my face and the spots will either be gone or have reduced in size dramatically by the next morning!

The number one thing on my wish list for my skin is the Magnitone Eclipse. This product can be used on a daily basis and it has 3 different detachable heads so you can target any part of your body, which is great for seeing as I do get acne of my arms and back as well. It also has a brush head that is for exfoliating once a week with so you can get a really deep clean on the skin. After reading so many reviews I am hooked on this product and hope to be able to own one myself one day!

Moving onto makeup, and again this does change for me in the summer as I try to use less so I don't clog up my pores which would make me break out more.

The first thing is a foundation that is lightweight yet gives a good amount of coverage and for me, that is the Rimmel London Wake Me Up foundation. Then I will use a very light amount of powder which is normally the MUA compact powder. I always use a bit of hoola bronzer and a very natural cream blush to make me more sun kissed and the MUA contour kit in light just to give me a more defined look. I am using the Soap and Glory's Thick and Fast mascara at the moment, however if I am to go in a swimming pool I do use a waterproof mascara.

There are two things on my makeup wish list and they are the Clinique Chubby sticks and the Real Techniques Bold Metals brush collection. I do apply my makeup with brushes and these are such gorgeous, well made brushes I adore them! I would love to own the clinque chubby sticks for contouring and highlighting, after reading reviews on them I would love to see how they work on my skin!

Fashion | Summer picnic!

Hello lovlies

Yesterday I went on a summer picnic with my University cheerleading team. This was a goodbye to some of our team as some have graduated, some are moving university to start their degree and our coach is pregnant so although it was sad to say goodbye it was a lovely to spend time with them all together before everyone goes their separate ways.

This was my outfit for the day. I felt that I needed to wear something comfortable and loose because the weather was warm and humid so being comfortable was a must! The top is from Primark, the shorts are a lightweight cotton material and are from Dorothy Perkins (they are on sale at the moment for £7 so go and grab a pair quickly!). My shoes and sunglasses are both from Primark.

Fashion | A Spring Day (Outfit post Ft. wish list from Powder)

Hello lovelies

This weeks post is my opinion on what I'd style with my casual spring outfit featuring a few pieces from Powder. Powder is an accessories company that has some gorgeous scarves and gloves. To say that I like the pieces from the company is an understatement, I think they are beautifully made, they're very girly and feminine and if I were to put every piece that was on my wish list in this post we could be a very long time so I've stuck to 3 of my favourites!

This outfit I would wear on a slightly colder day in Spring. The shirt & vest are
from Primark, the jeans are from topshop & the shoes are from office (similar) 

I would pair this with a light scarf (this one is the Colour Riot Print scarf from Powder)

and if the weather were to get that cold, which it does in England, I would add

a pair of gloves to the outfit (these are the Tallulah Gloves from Powder).

This outfit is for a warmer Spring day. The jeans and shoes are the same as the 

previous outfit photo but the crop top is knitted and is from Primark and 

the kimono is also from Primark. 

 To go along with the outfit I would pair it with this scarf 

 (it is the Poppy Linen scarf from Powder). This is just 

warm enough for a spring day without being too heavy.
