Beauty | SS15 Beauty must haves Featuring Magnitone!

Hello lovelies

Todays post is about my Spring/Summer beauty must haves. I don't know about you, but in the summer my skin is a lot harder to look after because it is oily and acne prone. So I thought I would let you know my skincare and a few makeup must have for the summer that I use and few that are definitely on my wish list!

So to start of with is skin care, its all about having a good skincare routine otherwise you're just going to make your skin worse than it is.

I love the Garnier Micellar Water to remove the makeup and dirt on my face and it is perfect for getting rid of waterproof mascara and eyeliner. The next thing I love to use is a charcoal face mask once a week to really get rid of any dirt thats on my skin. For a moisturiser I use the 24 hour moisturising cream from Lidl, which all though its cheap it keeps my face hydrated without leaving it oily and breaking me out. For those of you who have acne prone skin I would highly recommend Silver Serum. Although it is a little more on the expensive side I can put a little bit on my face and the spots will either be gone or have reduced in size dramatically by the next morning!

The number one thing on my wish list for my skin is the Magnitone Eclipse. This product can be used on a daily basis and it has 3 different detachable heads so you can target any part of your body, which is great for seeing as I do get acne of my arms and back as well. It also has a brush head that is for exfoliating once a week with so you can get a really deep clean on the skin. After reading so many reviews I am hooked on this product and hope to be able to own one myself one day!

This is the Magnitone Eclipse you can purchase it here for £149.99.

Moving onto makeup, and again this does change for me in the summer as I try to use less so I don't clog up my pores which would make me break out more.

The first thing is a foundation that is lightweight yet gives a good amount of coverage and for me, that is the Rimmel London Wake Me Up foundation. Then I will use a very light amount of powder which is normally the MUA compact powder. I always use a bit of hoola bronzer and a very natural cream blush to make me more sun kissed and the MUA contour kit in light just to give me a more defined look. I am using the Soap and Glory's Thick and Fast mascara at the moment, however if I am to go in a swimming pool I do use a waterproof mascara.

There are two things on my makeup wish list and they are the Clinique Chubby sticks and the Real Techniques Bold Metals brush collection. I do apply my makeup with brushes and these are such gorgeous, well made brushes I adore them! I would love to own the clinque chubby sticks for contouring and highlighting, after reading reviews on them I would love to see how they work on my skin!

You can buy the Chubby Sticks here for £19.

You can buy the Bold Metals collection here.

I hope you like my SS15 beauty essentials and I also hope that it has helped you out a bit if you have oily/acne prone skin. And don't forget to go and check out Magnitone at www.magnitone.co.uk and have a look at all of their amazing products to find which one is right for you!

Until next time!

Fashion | Summer picnic!

Hello lovlies

Yesterday I went on a summer picnic with my University cheerleading team. This was a goodbye to some of our team as some have graduated, some are moving university to start their degree and our coach is pregnant so although it was sad to say goodbye it was a lovely to spend time with them all together before everyone goes their separate ways.

This was my outfit for the day. I felt that I needed to wear something comfortable and loose because the weather was warm and humid so being comfortable was a must! The top is from Primark, the shorts are a lightweight cotton material and are from Dorothy Perkins (they are on sale at the moment for £7 so go and grab a pair quickly!). My shoes and sunglasses are both from Primark.

Let me know what you would wear to a summer picnic and your essentials for a summer picnic!

Until next time!

Fashion | Summer Essentials!

Hello lovelies

I know that the weather here in England isn't amazing, but it is now summer and thought I'd show you my summer essentials, especially seeing as I'm going away soon!

My Summer Essentials!

Seeing as it's summer and the weather should be hot (depending on where you are of course!), you are definitely going to need and bikini, this one is from H&M. You'll also need a comfortable yet stylish pair of shorts, these are from Primark. Sunglasses are a must in the summer, these are from Primark and cost me £1.50, Bargain!! And how about these girly white sandals? Again, they are from Primark so were affordable, they are comfy and give a touch of glamour to any outfit be it day or night.

Moving onto makeup and perfume! Every girl needs a good perfume and my favourite is Lady Million by Paco Rabbane. I also bought this little device called Flo, it is a travel sized perfume bottle that is allowed on the plane and can hold any perfume you want, both were purchased from The Perfume Shop. A bright or pastel nail colour is perfect for on your toes or finger nails, this on is from Models Own in the colour "Cornflower Gleam". A body spray is also a good idea if you don't have a perfume, this is a favourite of mine from Victoria's Secret. The last makeup essential for me is a good bronzer, I have tried lots of them and I have yet to find a drugstore bronzer that has the right shade and colour pay off that this one from Benefit!

The last two things that are summer essentials to me is a cute bottle, this one is from The Disney Store, which I felt was suitable seeing as I am going to Disney this summer. I also have my phone as an essential so as I can take photos and listen to music.

That is all of my summer essentials, let me know what some of yours are for summer and also let me know if you would like a blog post on what I am taking in my suitcase and hang luggage when I go away!

Until next time!

Fashion | Tringl Bikini Dupe

Hello lovelies,

This week its all about the bikinis! In a month I will be off to Florida for two weeks and I am going to need a few bikinis to keep me going. Now, if you've been on Instagram or follow other bloggers/youtubers you will know that the latest craze is Triangl Bikinis. You will also know that they are a lot of money ($109 including shipping). I am a university student so I can't afford to spend that kind of money on a bikini (even if they are gorgeous) so I decided to look online to try and find a dupe that was cheaper. I found two, one was from Amazon and the other from Groupon.

This bikini is the one from Groupon (here), it costs  £13.98 including delivery. To start with it is made of neoprene, the bottoms are a thicker neoprene than the top but both are good quality neoprene. The back does have the seatbelt clasp like the Triangl bikinis which very sturdy. There are a few things that could be improved on, but once wearing it they're virtually unnoticeable.  One of the underwires has started to come out of the top where it hadn't been sewn over (this is a hit and miss thing as I have seen others ordered from them and they are perfectly fine). I have found that when I get out of the water it is does collect in bottoms so you have to just pull it to the side slightly to let the water out but that's not a major issue. When ordering this bikini I would take into consideration that it does run a little small, I ordered a medium (which was advertised as a UK size 10/12 and C-D cup size), I am a 10/12 on the bottom and they just fitted (however a large would have been too big), but the top fitted perfectly. The delivery was estimated at 5 working days, however because I ordered it just before the bank holiday weekend it did take a little longer. You could order it two weeks before a holiday and it would be guaranteed to get to you before you go away. Another frequently asked question is, "Being white is it see through?" The answer is no, I have been swimming with it on and it is not see through at all due to the fabric being neoprene. Overall, I was very happy with the quality of the product considering the price of it and the time in which it arrived in, it is just a shame that you can't order a different size top to bottom.

This is the second bikini that I bought. This one is from Amazon for £6.88 which is cheaper than the other bikini and this reflects through a couple very noticeable differences. The first being that it is not made of neoprene, it is made of cotton and polyester (as stated by the seller). Secondly, the clasp is a traditional bikini clasp not the seatbelt buckle so it is slightly different there. Finally, the straps are detachable which is great because I won't get tan lines there, however I do find that they detach too easily so if I were to jump into a pool they would detach themselves. On the other hand this product comes with several advantages. The top is padded so it gives you a little bit of lift, which is good for girls like me who are smaller in the chest area. As well as this, the stitching is also very good quality.

Size wise it runs small on the bottoms and big on the chest area. Like the other bikini you aren't able to order a different size top to bottom which could be a way of solving the issue with sizing. Unfortunately, I have not been able to try this one out in the pool yet so I don't know whether it'll become see-through or retain a bit of water in the bottoms but being that it is made of normal bikini material I doubt that it will.

Would I buy this product again? Probably not because it doesn't fit on me and I can't have a different size top to bottom. The shipping took a long time compared with the other bikini and this was a disappointing aspect.

To conclude, these are just my opinions on the two bikinis I have found. If you want to spend a little less money and aren't bothered as to whether it is made of neoprene then I would go for the one from Amazon, however if you are fine with spending a few more pounds and want the neoprene material and faster shipping then I would go for the one from Groupon. I know that there is a website called Alixpress which sell neoprene Triangl dupes, but again the shipping can take up to a month so I have not had a chance to order from them (but if you have I'd love to hear your review of them).

Don't forget to follow me on Twitter and Instagram and you'll be able to see all the photos of the bikinis being worn when I go away in a few weeks.

Until next time!
